During the side scan survey, we found every
crib in Lake George. These fish refuges are key
to successful fishing throughout the year. The
cribs give the panfish and bait fish a refuge from
the ever present game fish. The cribs also give
the game fish an isolated location to wait to
ambush the smaller fish. Most people that fish
the lake know where some are.
These GPS files contain the locations of 65 intact cribs, and 30 that have
fallen apart.
Seeing the location of this cover element in relationship to the contour
features of the lake...
well, let's just say that the picture comes together. There isn't a 50-year guide
