Lowrance Users:
You will need to copy the files to a SD card and insert into your GPS unit.  The .lcm file will be read automatically, and the points of interest files will have to be loaded.  Instructions on loading procedure below.

Gamin Users and Magellan Users:
You will need to use a software to load these files to your GPS unit with a physical connection from your GPS unit to the computer.  Check out EasyGPS software, if you don't have one for file and waypoint management.

Lowrance users....If you do not know how to put this data on your SD card, or do not want to try, we'll do it for free!!  Send me a 1GB SanDisk SD card with a self addressed stamped envelope and I will load the files and return it promptly to you.  You plug it in, load the files per the procedure below, and you are off and fishing!  If this is you, mail to:

Lowrance .usr data-file loading procedure:

  1. load card
  2. replace batteries
  3. turn unit on
  4. press menu
  5. press menu
  6. scroll down to system setup
  7. arrow right
  8. scroll down to transfer my data
  9. enter
  10. choose load
  11. enter
  12. enter -this puts you into the menu of files
  13. scroll to the data file you want loaded
  14. hit enter
  15. arrow down to load
  16. enter

The data should load at this point.  If you get an error that there is not enough memory, then you will need to delete some waypoints, tracks, or routes off the unit to make room for the storage of the new data.  These files are not large, so it will not be a problem often.

ntours, bottom type areas,
trees, stumps, brush piles, weed beds, and logs, displayed over a
coordinate controlled air photo. 
Included on this map are 35  "Crib points", or exact
coordinates, locating both old and new cribs. Plug
these included
coordinates into your GPS unit, and have a great
reference to the other feat
ures included on the map. 
This map was made using the sonar mosaic described
above.  This is the most complete map ever made
of Emma Lake.
